Future Energy

Due to climate change, we are required to convert our energy supply from nuclear or fossil energy into renewable energy production in order to generate as little CO2 as possible in the atmosphere. For future energy production to be climate-neutral, investment in research and development and a modern network of power lines must be invested. In Future Energy, in different European countries, you close the old power plants (nuclear, oil, natural gas and coal) and replace them with modern regenerative plants (fusion, wind, solar and hydrogen). For each old disused power plant, you will receive bonuses that will help you develop the development of power lines. Thanks to predictive planning, you get more money and CO2 certificates that will help you acquire other construction contracts for new plants. In addition, you need to invest in your own power lines between modern power plants. But for this, you receive transit fees when others use your electricity grid. Whoever develops his electricity grid, builds power plants in as many European regions as possible and connects them intelligently through his electricity grid receives further CO2 certificates at the end of the game. The player with the most victory points is the winner!
